8. Shenandoah/The Pacific Slope
Máiréad Nesbitt is, not surprisingly, my favorite member of Celtic Woman, as we share the love of fiddling. She is the only featured instrumentalist of the group, and she never ceases to amaze me when I watch her twirl and prance around effortlessly as she plays. From the very beginning it has been a tradition for Máiréad to play an air and then transition into a lively reel. Her combination of Shenandoah and The Pacific Slope is my favorite because of the beautiful piano accompaniment by David Downes, the gradual increase of speed in the second half, and the spirited performance given by Máiréad.
