Broken Vessels

I am very excited to announce that I have the privilege of directing another play at Grace Community Church! I am thankful for the opportunity I’ve had to write and direct Anonymous Deliverance and Crooked Line, and now look forward to presenting Broken Vessels on Sunday, December 9. The play is a set of five monologues I have written for each of the five women included in Jesus’ genealogy in the first chapter of Matthew. I called the play Broken Vessels because all of these women were broken; they dealt with sin, fear, grief, fatigue, and inadequacy just like the rest of us, yet God chose to use these five women to bring Jesus Christ to earth in order that He might be the Savior of the world. For those of you who attend Grace, you might be interested to know that the cast is comprised of Erin Felten, Shannon Connelly (my lovely sister 🙂 ), Jessica Rowland, Destinee Thiele, and myself. I invite all of you to come and witness the sovereignty and forgiveness of Emmanuel through the stories of these five women. The performance will begin at 6pm on December 9 at Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, MI. If you have any questions please call the church at 616-669-6507 or e-mail me at annaconnelly@annaconnelly.com. Hope to see you there! Oh, and P.S., isn’t the poster my dad made fantastic? 🙂
