A Second Performance

About a month ago I announced that Broken Vessels, a play I have written and am now directing about the five women in Jesus’ genealogy, will be presented at Grace Community Church on Sunday, December 9. Now I am excited to announce that there is a second performance scheduled to take place at the Dogwood Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, December 2. Many thanks to Steve and Lisa DeHaan for making the necessary arrangements for our cast to be there. If you are interested in attending either performance of Broken Vessels, here are the details for each show. Please feel free to e-mail me at annaconnelly@annaconnelly.com with questions.

  1. Saw the write-up in our local paper here in Fremont. A group of ladies have been studying the ladies of the Old Testament and we’re trying to get a group together to come see your performance next Sunday night at the Dogwood. Thanks for offering this – can’t wait to be inspired by your message.

    • Thanks Sara! I’m so excited for Broken Vessels to come to the Dogwood! And that’s awesome that your group is studying the Old Testament! I hope and pray that the performance will be a blessing to you.

  2. I would love to see Broken Vessels, but I can’t get off work. Will there be a video of the play? I would love to purchase one if available.

    • Thanks for thinking of me Aunt Jeanne! It’s too bad you won’t be able to come, but I’m working on getting someone to record it. I will definitely get you a copy once we have it!

  3. Anna- Thank you so much for sending me an invitation to your play. I was so looking forward to going, but our church’s Sunday School program is at the same time on 12/9, and I have to be there as I’m playing a part. I’m quite bummed! It sounds fantastic, and I’m so, so, so, so proud of you. I know, the Lord gets the credit, but it’s very exciting to see someone as gifted as you, turn around and give back to the Lord for His glory. Do you know if your play will be videotaped? If so, I’d like to order a copy. Or maybe it will be performed again somewhere/sometime. It sounds like it should be an annual performance for sure! Meanwhile, please give my greetings to your whole, dear family. I hope I can hear back from you.

    Love,
    Barbara Nicholson

    • Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness! I am sorry you won’t be able to make it, but we do plan to record the performance, so I’ll plan to get you a copy of that. I will also let you know of any future performances. Thank you for your encouragement to me! I am so grateful for how you spoke into my life at such a young age… God definitely used you at that time to mold me into who I am today. I am excited to keep growing! Much love to you, and I will definitely give your kind greetings to my family.
